ISSUES RAISED
ELECTION OF STUDENT BOARD
DISCUSSION
This was done by a simple voting system.
It was conducted by Dalvinder Singh and Mohd Faiz who are part of the SMSA board.
CONCLUSIONS
The following are the elected few and their respective positions.
WHERE TO HOLD THE GRADUATION??
DISCUSSION
The question was brought up by Asrul, who asked everyone present if they would prefer to have the graduation here in Moscow or back home.
CONCLUSIONS
The majority of students present much liked the idea of having it here in Moscow.
However since the turnout wasn’t as expected, it was decided that it will be fair to hand out a form to the graduating batch to be more certain.
GRADUATION ROBES
DISCUSSION
The robes will have to be bought by the students just as it has been done in the previous batches.
The question was whether it would be possible to further hand down these robes to the juniors as an investment that will benefit all.
CONCLUSIONS
Sadly this idea seemed to be rather impossible as we will have to graduate with all of the foreign students of various faculties and mismatched robes will not seem appropriate.
Moreover there will be a shortage of robes as the number of juniors have greatly outnumbered us.
GRADUATION HALL
DISCUSSION
Asrul informed everyone present that the graduation venue will be determined by the Dean’s Office rep’s.
Glid informed us all that our seniors had tried to push for their graduation to be held at a different venue with a bigger hall to accommodate more guests but their proposal was rejected by the Deans Office.
CONCLUSIONS
All issues regarding the venue can only be sorted out once a proper meeting is held with the representative from the Deans Office.
NUMBER OF GUESTS PER STUDENT
DISCUSSION
Someone raised a question as to how many guests will each student be allowed to bring into the graduation hall.
CONCLUSIONS
Everyone agreed that each student should be allowed to bring in 2 guests at the very least.
YEAR BOOK
DISCUSSION
Since Mubin was elected to be head of the editorial board, it was proposed that he select his own committee and this proposal was agreed upon by all present.
