DIRECTIONS - PLEASE READ!

Our graduation will be held at the Large Academic Hall, Russian Academy of Sciences. Please note that all graduates and guests must be there at 10 am. Any late persons may be denied entrance. There are two ways to get there.

1st is by using prebet sapu. Use this address to get there.

2nd is by using the metro. For metro, here is the directions to our graduation hall.
1. Take the orange line metro to Leninsky Prospekt station
2. If you are travelling from the center, exit the metro from the head of the train.
3. On street level, turn left and follow the road. There should be open space on the right and buildings on your left.
4. At the end of the road, within close proximity of the Yuri Gagarin statue, there will be an underground pedestrian bypass. Travel under it to the other side of the road.
5. Exit the tunnel and turn right. Follow the road. When you are approaching the car park, the entrance should be seen.

Seating Arrangements & More

A few updates here. A sample of seating arrangements are with us. Click below to see it. Seating will be given by the end of this week. In general, the arrangements will be done in this order from front to the back - 1st gold medalist, red diploma holders, organizing committees, russian medium groups, english medium groups.


In addition, robes and photoalbums will be ready by this 23rd of June. For collection, wait conformations this coming Friday 19th.

Exam Venue For Oral Part

Attention to all. This is the update on the examination venue for our oral part. The venue is located at the War Learning Faculty on the road parallel to Bolshaya Pirogovskaya Street. You can access this building by passing the Lenin Statue. Please do take note you must be present early, at 8 am.

Important - Final Examination Venue

To everyone, please take note that our MCQ examination will be held at the hall of Forensics Department (Судебня Медицина) at exactly 0900, 5th June 2009. Please do come early since there will be a commission from the Russian Health & Education Ministry present during the exam. No handphones are allowed inside and please do wear your lab coat. We will bring more updates when they are available.

Diploma Legalization

An important update from the dean's office. Starting from next week, the dean's will start doing legalization works for our diploma. This legalization will allow our diploma to be used as a qualification to work in Malaysia. For this the payments will be 500 rubles (for diploma) + 300 rubles (for legalization).

Of more urgent matter is the payment of guests. Dateline has been set on Tuesday, 19th May 2009. Quick quick pass your payment to your hostel reps!

The Dates Are Now Confirmed

Final examination dates are confirmed. Here's the update:

• MCQ Examination - 5th June 2009
  
• Oral Examination - 10th & 11th June 2009
  

As you might noticed, there will be two dates for oral examination. So there will be some split in the candidates placement. Right now we have no information on how its going to be done. Just waiting for updates from Lena.

Final Examinations Are Coming!

Some new recent developments for everybody. There's an update from the dean's saying that Final MCQ Examination will be on the 5th of June 2009. For Final Oral Examination, it will be on either 11th OR 12th June 2009. Although still not confirmed fully, these dates seem to be final to them.

Additionally some not so good news. Due to unforeseen rising costs, extra payments must be made for guests attending the ceremony. Here's the breakdown:

• 800 rubles for the 1st 2 guests EACH
  
• 850 for the next guests EACH
  
• Yes, you can now bring more than two guests
  
• No limit is placed per graduate on number of guests. So if you have all your extended family coming, they are very much welcomed
  
• However, places are still limited. Additional guests allowed will be given based on 1st come 1st serve basis
  
• This new cost doesn't apply to graduates who are not bringing in guests
  
• The possibility of bringing in childrens into the hall is currently unknown. Will be advised later
  
• Payments and number of guests must be given to hostel representatives
  
• For more information, contact the committee
  

The committee has also decided about getting MMA emblems on the graduation robes. The emblems will cost 60 rubles each for every graduate. To obtain the emblems, payments for it are needed urgently by the end of this week. Please do forward payments to your hostel representatives. Thank you.

A quick call to Olga revealed that some invitations should be ready by tomorrow, 28th April 2009. For all who applied for invitations please do check if your letters are ready.

Photography Session!

Notices have been put out at Spartiv & Kahov hostel. Two photography sessions will be held on 16th (Thursday) and 28th April 2009 (Tuesday) from 1200 till 1700. Both sessions will be held at the Dean's Office, Room 45C (opposite Alyautdin Renad's office). Robes will be provided, however all graduates must be dressed neatly. Currently it is unknown how the batch will be separated in two groups. Information will be pasted once its available.

UPDATE: Thursday 16th session is for groups 1-5. Tuesday 28th session is for groups 6-10.

P.S. : Last collection of 150USD will be done on those dates. Anybody who hasn't paid please take note.

Important!
The committee will need all Malaysian 6th year to pay up. 150 USD will be needed from each of you for the following graduation ceremony costs which include:

All payments must be made before Tuesday (17/02/2009) to your hostel representatives.

Also please do provide your chest circumference and height in cms to the hostel rep. These are needed for your robes.

Because currently the ruble currency is unstable.

2. Should I withdraw in USD straight or withdraw ruble and change to USD?
Can't say. You need to do the math.

3. I will not bring guests. Will I still need to pay 150 USD?
Unfortunately yes. Price is currently non-negotiable.

Graduates Form 2009

Attention to all. This is an important reminder. You are required to fill in a graduate form titled "Выпуск 2009" which was released recently. This form when filled in, will be used by the dean's office to fill in your particulars in your diploma. As you may see, since it involves your diploma, all blanks in the form must be filled in CORRECTLY. Here are the list of information needed:

• Country
  
• Name in English (As in passport)
  
• Name in Russian (Direct translation from English)
  
• Date of birth
  
• Year when you ended school education
• Year of entrance to 1st year (2003)
• Institution of learning (MMA)
• Date
• Signature
  

The picture below is the scan of the form. Print the form out/get it from your hostel representatives. Do include a PHOTOCOPY of your passport (front page only).

A few notes:
-Please write english name in BLOCK LETTERS as in passport
-Please write russian name as you would like it to appear on your diploma. E.g. Aznil Bin Nawawi NOT Nawawi Aznil Bin
-Please write the year you finished your Secondary School. those having SPM cert, please write year you finished your SPM and those having STPM cert, please write year you finished form 6.

Currently no dateline has been sent, but it is strongly advised that all forms must be submitted to the dean's office as soon as possible, either by yourself or through your hostel representatives.
